Sanjay Dutt was born on July 29, 1959 to Nargis and Sunil Dutt. His parents are also very famous film personalities. Nargis has received Padma Shri award in 1958 as recognisation of her work in film, and Sunil Dutt was also recipient of Padma Shri award. Sunil Dutt was also very active in polictics, and he was the cabinet minister for Youth Affairs and Sports in the Manmohan Singh government (2004-2005).
